Angelica Ponce was a college athlete, a kindergarten teacher and newly engaged when an autoimmune disease put her into kidney failure in her mid-20s. She started dialysis and put her wedding on hold.

Her younger sister Miranda volunteered to get tested as a living kidney donor. She turned out to be a perfect six-out-of-six match. The two went through transplant surgery together at Cedars-Sinai and spent the weeks after recovering side by side at their parents' home. Now Angelica is back to planning her wedding and Miranda will be right there with her as maid of honor.

Bedwetting affects millions of children and is usually a normal developmental phase. Around 10 to 15 percent of kids become dry on their own each year.

It is not caused by laziness or bad behavior. In many cases, it is linked to deep sleep patterns, genetics, bladder development, or temporary stress. Support, reassurance, and the right strategies can make a meaningful difference.

Good sleep does more than restore your energy. It may also help protect your brain.
Studies show that regularly getting fewer than seven hours of sleep is associated with a higher risk of dementia.

Deep sleep is especially important because it allows the brain to clear away neurotoxic proteins linked to Alzheimer’s disease. While sleep cannot eliminate your risk of developing a memory disorder, improving sleep habits is one step you can take to support long-term cognitive health.

C-sections play a critical, lifesaving role for many families, and for some, they’re the safest option. Kimberly Gregory, MD explains, when a vaginal birth is possible, traveling through the birth canal can provide important benefits for a baby, including early immune and microbiome development.

There’s no one “right” way to give birth. What matters most is understanding your options, the reasons behind them, and how both baby and mom are supported after delivery.

Sleep position plays an important role in neck health.

When your pillow doesn’t properly support your head and spine, it can strain neck muscles and lead to stiffness, headaches or ongoing discomfort. The right pillow helps maintain alignment throughout the night, and the best option depends on whether you sleep on your back, side or stomach.

Hear from Dr. Bach about what your body needs can help you wake up feeling better rested and pain-free.

If you’re still in pain, don't sleep on it. Explore care options: https://ceda.rs/3WisWr0
