Life can change in an instant.

Mark’s brother Alex died suddenly, leaving behind a wife and three young children.

In the midst of his grief, Mark found a support group at OUR HOUSE that helped him carry it.

“I miss his laugh. I miss his hugs. I miss his patience,” Mark says.
“This organization gave me something incredibly valuable during the worst time in my life.

If I can help make sure other people don’t have to face this alone, that’s worth my time and my support.”

Grief is a journey no one should have to face alone. Support from donors makes it possible for others to find the understanding and connection Mark found.

Camp Erin LA returns August 22 and 23 in Glendale.

This is a free bereavement camp for families grieving the death of a significant person in their lives within the past four years. Children and teens ages 6 to 17 attend a supportive camp experience that thoughtfully combines grief support with traditional camp activities.

Led by bereavement professionals and trained volunteers, families are provided a comfortable and structured environment where they can explore their grief, develop essential coping skills, and connect with peers who understand their experience. Through art, conversation, recreation, and community-building activities, campers gain tools and confidence that support them long after the weekend concludes. 

Space is limited, and families are encouraged to apply early.
