If you are experiencing numbing grief, feeling shaken to your bones, or dizzy with overwhelm, you are not alone.
I started a Grief Garden after losing three family members in just over one year. I was seeking support beyond a place to say Kaddish in an amazing minyan. I needed people who understood what it felt like to be rudderless. People who were willing to share how they approached tumult, how they moved through feeling unsafe and alone in spiritual, physical, and existential ways. People who would were also in search of tools to process loss in a culture that overlooks grief, commodifies pain, and exploits numbness.
What began as a sacred space to check-in on one another became a healing garden of people witnessing and listening to one another. It is a wild experiment — a commons of the soul -- that is guiding a shift from isolation to belonging. It is becoming an intimate community of practice and we are growing grief literacy.
A Grief Garden exists so people do not have to carry grief alone. It is a facilitated online session (twice weekly).
If you or someone you know is looking for grief support, we warmly invite you to get your self into this garden!
