One of the most challenging types of breast augmentation is very lean women with small breasts. Even with small silicone implants they run the risk of the implants sliding down the chest or "bottoming out ". This can happen because in thin patients having a dual plane augmentation the implant is not covered by any muscle in the bottom half of the breast. However there is a technique to add strength and support to the bottom half of the breast using the strong fascia that is lining the top of the pectoralis muscle. This provides natural and long-lasting results even in skinny patients with small breasts.

Surgery length: 2 hours
Recovery time: One week
Cost is $10-$12,000 (depending on type of implant and complexity of procedure)
