After 42 extraordinary years of service in health and education, Emperor’s College and Clinic will be closing regular operations on June 30, 2025.
 
We are proud of our long history of educating brilliant healers, teachers and leaders in East Asian medicine. This is coupled with our record of contributing to the common good, especially by providing free acupuncture to the underserved at Being Alive, Venice Family Clinic, LA Free Clinic, the Greater Los Angeles VA, and at numerous outreach events.
 
We thank all beloved members of the Emperor’s College community, including our faculty, staff, alumni, students, patients, past and present board members,and community partners. All of our community contributed to making Emperor’s College an incredible place of hope and healing.
 
Dr. B**g Dal Kim, the founder of Emperor’s College, has stated, “all those who choose to become a part of Emperor’s College will experience the subtle yet profound  growth that is the impulse at the heart of its foundation, and through this they may be led toward their destiny.”  
 
May all who have been touched by Emperor’s College continue to embody its values and spirit and realize their destiny for the benefit and well-being of all.

After more than a decade of serving the Westchester Triangle and surrounding communities, I will no longer be seeing patients regularly at my Westchester Location beginning January 2025.

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Heidi Guiyab, DACM, LAc of ProviStar Acupuncture https://provistarsacupuncture.com will be taking on my insurance-based patients at the same location beginning in January 2025. I am certain that she will give you the same attention and care you've come to expect from me.

This decision did not come easily. My increased workload at Emperor's College as a Clinical Supervisor and Preceptor, the expansion of my practice in Orange County, and changes in my personal life have resulted in limited hours and and inability to provide the service that you, my patients, deserve.

I will continue to see patients with my acupuncture residents/interns in the teaching clinic at Emperor's College in Culver City on Monday Evenings and Friday Mornings, and treating in Observation Theater on Friday Afternoons. And, of course, I will continue to see patients in my Orange County offices. www.yorbahillsacu.com

Our facelift is almost complete in the Westchester Clinic. So happy with the work that has been done, and excited that Dr. Heidi Guiyab, DACM, LAc is now available to treat in the upgraded digs, under the ProviStar Acupuncture label. Stop by, meet Dr. Heidi and see the changes. Yes, I will continue to treat 1-2 days per week out of the Westchester location for the foreseeable future, while launching my new Orange County clinic.

Don't let the new signs fool you - beginning August 2021, our Westchester Location is now ProviStar Acupuncture. ReturningSpring IHS continues to operate out of our Truxton Location. However, I'm very pleased to announce that beginning September 2021, Dr. Heidi Guiyab, DACM, LAc will be taking over the mainstay of the practice in Westchester, continuing the tradition of personal care and compassion shown by Rachel Murphy and myself over the past 20 years. I will continue treating patients in Westchester on a limited basis (Mondays & Fridays) for the foreseable future. Over the next few weeks we will be undergoing renovations in the unit in preparations for the handoff. Keep posted for openhouse information later this summer!
