One of these is a HELL YES. The other is a HELL NO.

The difference is the ingredient list.

That first snack is built on refined flour with sunflower oil as the SECOND ingredient…
so right away you’re looking at a highly processed fat + low-quality carb base.

Then it adds:
cane sugar + barley malt extract (more sugar),
“natural flavor” (which can be a mix of undisclosed additives),
and things like monocalcium phosphate (a chemical leavening agent) and annatto for color.

None of that is there to support your toddler’s growth—it’s there for shelf life, texture, and taste.

So what are they actually getting?
Mostly processed carbs and fats that fill them up without offering much nutritionally.

Now compare that to the second snack:
peanuts, sorghum, strawberries.
No added sugar.
Simple ingredients that actually provide protein and nutrients.

THIS IS NOT TO SHAME - sometimes as parents we have to do what we have to do.

But it’s also important to be informed and understand what goes into kiddo’s snacks (and our own!)

Say it louder:
Skinny ≠ healthy.

What we’re seeing right now?
Fast weight loss. Low protein. Insufficient micronutrient intake. No resistance training. GLP-1s without a plan.

And it’s going to show up later like this:

• Osteopenia → progressing to Osteoporosis
• Early-onset Sarcopenia (yes, in your 30s–40s)
• Hypothalamic Amenorrhea → hormone disruption, fertility issues
• Iron Deficiency Anemia + chronic micronutrient deficiencies
• Dysbiosis → poor digestion, inflammation, low immunity
• Downregulated metabolism (your body adapting to survive, not thrive)
• Blood sugar dysregulation despite being “thin”
• Increased injury risk, weaker connective tissue, slower recovery

You don’t get to under-eat, under-train, and expect long-term health.

If fat loss is the goal, fine—
but muscle is not optional.
Protein is not optional.
Strength is not optional.

Build a body that can actually carry you through pregnancy, postpartum, and aging—not just one that looks smaller right now.
