My name is Arielle Hope, and I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Holistic Nutritionist from Southern California. I am passionate about helping people not just survive, but THRIVE. It took doctors 12 years to finally diagnose my chronic cough as non-tuberculosis mycobacterial lung disease. How did this go undiagnosed for so long? STOP 🛑 doing these 5 things if you want steady energy all day:

1) Skipping breakfast (or under-eating early) → you set yourself up for a mid-morning crash.

2) Eating an unbalanced breakfast → carbs alone won’t hold you; you need protein + fiber + fat.

3) Drinking caffeine immediately after waking → wait 60–90 minutes for smoother energy.

4) Sitting for hours → circulation drops, stiffness rises, energy tanks.

5) Being under-hydrated / low on electrolytes → fatigue, headaches, and “brain fog” show up fast.

By the time COVID came around (6 years ago WTF?!)

I had had unresolved chronic lung congestion for ten years.

I had given up on answers.

I had given up on doctors.

But then I decided to give it one more go because I was tired of people staring at me like I had COVID and shouldn’t be in public places

I had changed my diet and continued my exercise routine, but I was still anxious and had completely lost trust in my body.

Look at the absolute LACK OF LIGHT in those eyes. These photos are 2020. I was scared I’d get COVID and something really bad would happen to me.

Luckily I found an amazing doctor who helped discover my underlying issue, but until then, it was the lifestyle changes that I made that helped me function day to day and still be an athlete.

I know ball.

Just a few reasons that this recommendation is OUTDATED AS HECK ➡️

💥 The brain primarily runs on glucose; very low carb can feel like brain fog, irritability, or headaches (especially at first).

💥 Muscle glycogen fuels higher-intensity training; too few carbs can reduce power output, volume, and recovery.

💥 Many top fiber + prebiotic foods are carb-containing (beans, oats, fruit)

💥 Very low carb + high stress/training can increase cortisol in some people, which can worsen sleep and cravings.

💥 Restrictive rules can backfire for consistency and trigger rebound eating for some people.
