Congratulations to the first cohort of the Contra Costa Peer Leadership Academy on completing their training! 🎉

For their final session, each leader prepared and delivered a powerful 3-minute public forum speech on an issue that matters deeply to them—stories thoughtfully developed throughout the curriculum.
Throughout the program, these leaders leaned into the process with courage and authenticity. They transformed their Stories of Self, Us, and Now into purpose-driven narratives that speak truth to power. Their growth, commitment, and bravery truly stood out.

This milestone marks not just the end of a training, but the beginning of continued leadership and impact in the community.

Do you have a Psychiatric Advance Directive? A Psychiatric Advance Directive (PAD) is more than a legal form, it’s your voice when you need it most. If you ever face a mental health or substance use crisis, a PAD ensures your preferences are known and respected, even when you can’t speak for yourself.

Think of it as your personal spokesperson for care. It guides others on:
-How to communicate with you in a way that feels safe
-Who you want by your side for support
-Which treatments and approaches have helped you in the past
-Where you feel most comfortable receiving care

Creating a PAD gives you clarity, control, and peace of mind, so your care always aligns with what works best for you. It’s now even easier to create a PAD with the new website launch—click here to get started https://hubs.ly/Q0434Gdx0.
