About Beverly Hills Pediatrics
Beverly Hills Pediatrics was started by Bess Raker, MD and Scott Cohen, MD, two energetic and experienced pediatricians who wanted to create a fun, hip environment where children of all ages could receive excellent medical care. In late 2014, pediatric after hours clinic services were added with the addition of Beverly Hills Pediatrics After Hours (Pediatric Urgent Care). From the children’s play area to the colorful accent walls, the office has been designed to feel like an extension of your home. Inessa Grinberg, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.A.P. joined the Beverly Hills Pediatrics family in 2010. Dr. Inessa is thrilled to be part of such an amazing practice. Prevent choking with one simple rule 👇
If your toddler won’t sit to eat… they’re probably not that hungry.
Running, climbing, or walking with food = a major choking risk.
Set the boundary: “When we eat, we sit. If you get up, we’re done.”
It’s not punishment — it’s protection. 💛
Save this for later + share with another parent who needs it!

Cold + Flu Season Update from Dr. Inessa ❄️🤧
We’re seeing so many cold viruses this season, and remember — the same virus can look totally different from child to child.

For example, parainfluenza (which we’re seeing a LOT of right now) might cause just a mild cold in one kid… but in another, it can cause croup.

👶 What is croup?
It’s when the windpipe gets swollen, leading to a barky cough and a whistling sound when breathing called stridor.

💙 At-home treatment for croup:
• A steam shower 🚿
• A walk outside in cold air ❄️ (as long as it’s not raining!)

These simple steps can make a BIG difference. Always call your pediatrician if symptoms worsen or you’re concerned.

☀️ Is your child getting enough Vitamin D?
Dr. Inessa Grinberg from Beverly Hills Pediatrics explains why Vitamin D is the one supplement she recommends for almost every child!

👶 For babies (all breast-fed babies, and any baby who is getting less than 33 ounces of formula per day ): 400 IU daily
🧒 For older kids: needed for most kids 600-800 IU per day

✨ Vitamin D supports:
💪 Bone growth
🧠 Immune health
🩸 Prevention of autoimmune & chronic diseases

✅ Choose an oil-based Vitamin D drop (since it’s fat-soluble!)
🚫 Avoid preservatives or unnecessary additives
