Some skin changes are harmless… but others deserve quick attention.
Here are 5 skin issues you should never ignore — and why getting them checked matters:
1️⃣ A New or Changing Mole
A mole that suddenly gets darker, grows, becomes asymmetrical, or develops multiple colors should be evaluated. Early changes can be subtle but meaningful.
2️⃣ A Spot That Won’t Heal
If a “pimple” or “scab” keeps returning or never fully goes away, it may be more than irritation. Non-healing lesions can signal underlying skin conditions that need treatment.
3️⃣ Persistent Itching or Burning
Ongoing itch isn’t always dryness. It can be a sign of eczema, allergies, nerve irritation, or other medical skin concerns—especially if it lasts more than 2–3 weeks.
4️⃣ A Rash That Spreads or Gets Worse
Rashes that expand, become painful, blister, or don’t improve with gentle skincare should be checked. Some rashes are allergic or infectious and require prescription treatment.
5️⃣ Sudden Hair Loss or Bald Patches
Rapid shedding, thinning, or circular bald spots can have many causes—from hormonal changes to autoimmune triggers. Early evaluation leads to better outcomes.

Why timely care matters:
Early evaluation can prevent more serious issues, reduce scarring, and get you on the right treatment faster — especially if symptoms are new, worsening, or persistent.
If you’re noticing any of these changes, it’s always safer to get them checked.
