🧠 The Future of Neurosurgery Is Being Rewritten—And It’s Happening Now.

From a 28% mortality rate in 1946 to today’s AI-assisted precision surgery, neurosurgery has undergone one of the most dramatic evolutions in modern medicine.

But what’s coming next is even more transformative.

At SBMT 2026 in Los Angeles, global leaders will showcase the technologies redefining brain surgery:

🔹 AI-enhanced navigation systems reaching 97.5% tumor detection accuracy
🔹 Diffusion MRI tractography reducing neurological deficits by 55%
🔹 Genomic profiling extending brain cancer survival from 16 to 24 months
🔹 Robotic-assisted precision with 95% radiation reduction
🔹 Brain-computer interfaces reshaping functional neurosurgery
🔹 Military neurotrauma innovations transforming civilian trauma care

This trend is a structural change in how neurological care is delivered.

We’ve published a deep-dive article outlining these advancements and what they mean for the next decade of neurosurgical practice.
