CradleSong Birthing Cradlesong is a musical empowerment resource for parents and provides music therapy and doula services from pregnancy to preschool. What is CradleSong Birthing?

CradleSong Birthing provides music therapy and doula services in Los Angeles, California for expecting mothers, also known as Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth or MTACB through Sound Birthing (www.soundbirthingmusic.com). In addition to providing musical, physical, emotional and educational support during the labor and delivery, CradleSong also offers ongoing prenatal and postnatal individual services and classes. We believe in supporting the mother's decisions in order to provide her with the most positive birth experience possible. Medicated or unmedicated, breast or bottle, we feel every choice rests in the hands of the family. Our role is to use education, reflective listening, experience and care to make the decisions easier. Whether it be a home birth, a birthing center or a hospital, we strive to be an advocate for mother and baby to help them to have an empowering and joyful experience.

We are excited to announce our new series, "Infant Bonding Through Music" at Sinai Akiba Academy in Los Angeles.
Through our Board-certified Music Therapist specialized in NICU music therapy, experience sound in the most calming and safe ways possible to help your baby's transition from the womb to the world. We will sing and write special lullabies, listen to soothing instruments played live, rock to heartbeat rhythms and introduce baby sign language while learning how music can help with relaxation, bottle & breastfeeding, daily routines, communication and bonding. Cradlesong offers mobile private early childhood music classes in the comfort of your home 🏡 . Invite friends and neighbors and enjoy weekly community connection and exploratory music for the little ones.

A minimum of 5 families are required in order to participate. In exchange for providing the space and recruiting the classmates, the host family receives the entire music series free of charge.

Can you feel the rhythm?! 🥁 🥁 🥁
Beginning in the womb, rhythm plays an important role in supporting our development. From our mother's heartbeat holding us grounded, to the creation of our own circadian rhythm, we use rhythm as a core structure, just like we do in music.
Rhythmic activities like drumming will
🧠 stimulate the brain and activate neural circuits, resulting in improved connectivity and plasticity in the brain
🏃 Build motor skills by stimulating the cerebellum, further developing the brain-movement coordination
🤗 Stimulate the limbic system which helps regulate our emotions and behaviors

Music is an incredible way to nurture the father / child relationship and lay the foundation for strong bonds that can last a lifetime. Today we are sending love and appreciation to the amazing father's out there. Baby and toddler groups are so often focused on the mamas, but dadas need support too!
From pregnancy to postpartum to our early childhood creative classes, our focus has always been on the family journey, inclusive of parents, guardians and caretakers of all stripes. We know bringing up a babe ain't easy! Cradlesong is here to help build long term community support to add some joy, levity and meaningful connections.
