I'd like to introduce Sabrina Bell, AMFT, who is now seeing clients in my practice. Sabrina holds a BA from Harvard University and she earned an MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She enjoys working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and relationship issues. She works primarily from a cognitive-behavioral perspective while also integrating other therapeutic orientations and modalities, including family systems and humanistic theories. I'd like to introduce Emily Gaston, AMFT, APCC, the 1st of two new Associates working in my practice. Emily holds a BA from Colorado College and earned her MA at Pacifica Graduate Institute, with a specialization in depth psychology. Her experience includes work with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of issues, including relationship challenges, PTSD and complex trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, substance use, body dysmorphia, and depression and anxiety. She has additionally practiced in a hospital setting, where she supported individuals and families coping with complex medical prognoses and chronic or advancing illnesses. People often ask me what I do to avoid burnout as a therapist. There are several things, but one of the most important for me is walking. Walking resets me and restores my sense of balance. I often listen to podcasts when I walk, and lately I've been exploring the latest season of Anderson Cooper's All There Is.
