🌟 Great news from Therapeutic Play Foundation (TPF)! 🌟

We’re thrilled to share that TPF is stepping up our mission to provide whole-person care — supporting physical, mental, and emotional health — for families in high-need areas across Los Angeles County.

Here’s what’s happening:
✅ We’re operating across Service Planning Areas 3, 5, 6 & 8, serving families facing homelessness, foster care, serious mental illness or disabilities, pregnant/new parents & more.

✅ Thanks to the California Department of Health Care Services’s PATH – Providing Access and Transforming Health initiative and the CITED funding program, we’ve built a permanent service center and a strong digital infrastructure (custom EHR, live outreach phone bank, real-time data sharing) to ensure high-quality care.

✅ We’ve expanded our community presence with monthly resource fairs (food, diapers, bus passes, Medi-Cal sign-ups) and launched school-based hubs led by Community Health Workers featuring wellness activities like art & gardening.

🧩 Why this matters
Whole-person care means we’re not just treating symptoms—we’re reducing barriers, coordinating services, and empowering communities so every family gets the support they deserve.

For years, the with as our backbone support, has been doing the deep, joyful, and transformative work of destigmatizing mental health and building through play, art, gardening, mindfulness, and collective care. 🌱🎨🪘🧘🏾‍♀️

We’ve been innovative and intentional—hiring Community Health Workers, developing training programs, and creating spaces where healing looks like culture, connection, and restoration. 💫

Together, we’re reimagining what healthcare access can look like when it’s rooted in equity, compassion, and joy.
This is what it means to heal the village.

💙⚾ Big love to the LA Dodgers!

We’re honored to be chosen as a grant recipient from the 8/5 game auction. Proceeds will power our initiative — helping Los Angeles recover from environmental stressors and other challenges that impact mental health.

These funds will fuel Healing Wellness Labs and Wellness Kits, giving our community spaces and tools to connect, recharge, and recover together.

Because at TPF, we believe in Play Now. Thrive Later. Group connection isn’t just fun — it’s how we heal trauma and build a stronger, healthier LA.

106 tickets sold! A dance floor full of bodies and connection. Dozens of community partners. One unforgettable night of joy, purpose, and PLAY.

Our TPF Benefit Concert wasn’t just a show—it was a soul-filled celebration of healing, collective care, and the brilliance of collaboration!

Huge thanks to our powerhouse Board of Directors, who tapped into their relationships with artists and impact makers to bring this vision to life. This concert wouldn’t have happened without their leadership—and yes, we’re making this a recurring fundraiser! 🙌
