Confession from a permanent makeup artist:
I used to do microblading for years.
Then I started seeing what it does to the skin long termโฆ and I stopped.
Microblading uses a blade that cuts into the skin,
which can create scar tissue and sometimes lead to gray, blue, or pink discoloration when pigment is implanted too deep.
After 15+ years in permanent makeup, Iโve seen thousands of healed brows and I truly believe
there are better techniques today.
Powder brows and nano hair strokes are much gentler on the skin and often give more stable long term results.
To the microblading artists out there!
I know this may be hard to hear.
I felt the same way once.
But our industry evolves.
Whatโs your opinion on microblading today?
