During Black History Month, we’re reminded that prioritizing wellness is an essential part of honoring our history and sustaining our future. Caring for our minds, bodies, and families is not only personal—it’s a powerful act of preservation and resilience. 🖤✊🏾
For many Black individuals and families, mental health challenges are shaped by long-standing systemic barriers, including limited access to affordable care, gaps in insurance coverage, and fewer culturally responsive services. At the same time, stigma around mental health—though slowly shifting—has made it harder for some to seek support without fear of judgment or misunderstanding.
This month is an opportunity to reflect on why Black mental health matters and why investing in wellness must remain a priority— not just in February, but every day.
