Nirinjan visited a remarkably peaceful church whose history reaches back to the 12th century. By 1395, the monastery surrounding it had become home to 44 monks, each living in small private cells where they spent their lifetimes in prayer, meditation, and contemplation. Walking through the quiet corridors and simple rooms where these monks once lived created a profound sense of stillness — as if centuries of disciplined reflection had left an imprint in the space itself. It was a reminder of the depth of commitment humans have had to inner work, silence, and the search for understanding.
