Yesterday was a day of service at our Alvarado clinic, we felt the strength of community in such a special way.

Handing out turkeys may seem small, but the smiles, the conversations, the thank-yous — those moments reminded us why this tradition matters.

We’re grateful for the generous donations from Senator María Elena Durazo, Assemblymember Mark Gonzalez, and Councilmembers Hugo Soto-Martínez and Eunisses Hernandez. Their support helped us bring a meal to more than 130 patients and their families.

And a very special thank-you to our staff and volunteers.

Today showed us that kindness doesn’t need to be loud to make an impact. Sometimes it’s as simple as showing up for each other. 🧡

Yesterday our CEO and Councilmember Imelda Padilla spent the afternoon at our Van Nuys clinic blessing families with turkey giveaways.

As the rain approaches, our neighbors experiencing homelessness are at high risk for illness & will experience very unsafe conditions. At our clinic, we know how much the weather impacts health and wellbeing. 💛

Tomorrow, our street medicine team will be at Marengo site starting at 8 AM distributing ponchos to help keep folks dry — while supplies last.

LAHSA has opened additional winter shelters that are 24/7 for walk-ins, with transportation support available. Warming centers are open, too, at libraries, community centers, and public spaces.

✨ What a night to remember! ✨

We celebrated 42 years of service, advocacy, and community at our annual event themed this year — La Cosecha (The Harvest). We were honored to be joined by The Honorable Mayor Karen Bass, elected officials, our Board of Directors, dedicated staff, community health workers, and funders who make our mission possible every day. 💙🌾

The evening came alive with Salvadoran art, Latin cuisine, and live music — every moment reflecting the beauty of our culture and the strength of our community. 💃🏽🎶🌾

From our humble beginnings inspired by Monseñor Óscar A. Romero to serving over 26,000 patients across six sites, Clínica Romero continues to be a harvest of hope for Los Angeles families. 🌿🌾

Thank you to everyone who showed up with heart, love, and pride for our community. Together, we’re harvesting hope, health, and a brighter future for generations to come. 🌾💫
