Nervous system support for our community impacted by the LA fires, first responders and volunteers.

To our Los Angeles community,

There aren’t words to capture the anxiety, grief and loss of this past week. We send love to those who have lost their homes, and we are in deep gratitude for the tireless efforts of our firefighters, first responders and volunteers.

Our collective nervous systems have been in a constant state of hypervigilance.

When crisis strikes, we go into fight-or-flight to meet the task at hand. Yet once we are in a safe and secure place, it’s highly beneficial to move the anxious energy out of our systems and bring ourselves into a state of regulation.

It’s crucial to tend to our mental and emotional states and take time to ground, connect, and release.

While we are in the process of building something new, we’d like to hold and support our community with 6 months free access to WellSet — our virtual holistic healing studio.

Holistic health isn’t just about what you eat; it’s about how you move, too! From daily walks to yoga sessions, finding ways to move better is a key pillar in building a healthier, happier you.

Join us this week as we explore the power of movement as medicine, be encouraged to get active in ways that nourish our bodies and minds. 💚

Some quick tips for moving better this week:

☀️ Start the morning with yoga or qi gong poses to awaken your mind and body.

💥 Weave in micro movement blasts like air squats or jumping jacks between tasks or meetings to boost energy and focus.
👣 Add short walks after meals or schedule a walking meeting 

💧Do gentle stretching or foam rolling to lubricate the joints, boost circulation and hydrate your muscles.
🎵 Dance, shake or sway for a few minutes to release pent up or stagnant energy  and reset the nervous system.
