I made a joke about not wanting to see because of the name. Then someone from the film reached out and said I really had to see it, so I said sure. They invited me to this incredible screening where I knew nothing going in, and as it unfolded I found myself drawn into something truly unique. Raw, nuanced, deeply performative. Afterward, Chloe came out and was interviewed by Denis Villeneuve, which blew my mind. The sincerity, the depth about consciousness and the interconnection of all life. Denis’s genuine curiosity and admiration for Chloe. Playful and spiritual in the most metaphysical way. I’m glad I said something, even if it was kind of an annoying joke, because it led me here. Forever grateful to whoever got me to that screening. And meeting Chloe? She’s an embodiment of love, warmth, and artistry. May we have more Hamnets in the future.
