The LAST thing I want to do in my luteal phase is spend my night in the kitchen. I am trying to be horizontal, preferably watching the new season of Virgin River or Love is Blind. 😆

So if you’re tired of feeling exhausted, bloated and crampy in the week before your period, save these 5 high protein, fiber-forward meals that will take you 20 minutes or less to put together.

A few of my go-to shortcuts: I use my air fryer for proteins, veggies and sweet potatoes because it’s fast and effortless, and whenever I can I reach for pre-cooked options like rotisserie chicken, organic chicken sausages and thinly sliced grass-fed steak.

Your luteal phase is not the time to prove anything in the kitchen.

I came home a different version of myself.

I’m sitting here struggling with how to articulate the past 7 days at the retreat at .

I’ve always known I’m meant to help women.

To hold space for their greatest dreams and desires but also for their greatest doubts and fears.

I’ve known that I’m here to empower women in reconnecting with their bodies and remembering how powerful they are.

And after spending a week in sisterhood with such soulful, smart, empathetic, funny and embodied women, I was reminded yet again how much bigger than us this work is.

We have the power to heal our own bodies and to collectively serve as a vessel to facilitate healing and transformation for others too.

I genuinely believe we need to stop asking “what do you want to DO?” and instead start asking “who do you want to BE?”

I want to BE the kind of woman who leaves the world a better place than when she arrived.

Who is generous with her energy but also a fierce protector of it too.

Who helps women remember the wisdom that’s already within them so they can lead a life from empowerment, autonomy and self trust.

Who gives back without expecting anything in return and also receives with open arms.

Who puts her all into the woman she serves and also takes time to rest, regulate and let her inner child play.

Becoming the woman of your dreams isn’t about doing more, it’s about being more.

It’s about making choices that align with the person you know you’re meant to be and spending time in rooms and spaces with people who show you what’s possible.

Thanks to my amazing friend and mentor and .rodriguez.smith for creating such an incredible space for us to breathe, release, regulate and RISE.

I am so excited to integrate this work and to bring it into my coaching practice on an even deeper level 🙏

How many of these did you own? 🤩

If you’re in your mid-to-late 30s or early 40s and noticing things feel a little… different lately, there’s a chance perimenopause has entered the chat.

And no, this doesn’t mean menopause is coming around the corner.

Perimenopause is the 8-10 year hormonal transition (and life stage) before menopause. As your adrenal and s*x steroid hormones start to shift, it’s the first time many women notice their body stops responding to the strategies that used to work.

You might notice things like:
- heavier, shorter or longer cycles
- new PMS or mood swings (i.e. premenstrual rage)
- sleep feeling lighter or more disrupted
- stubborn weight gain, especially around the middle
- anxiety or brain fog that feels unfamiliar
- energy that isn’t as steady as it used to be

The women who navigate this transition with the most ease aren’t the ones who ignore it but rather the ones who learn how to work with their hormones earlier.

When you start supporting your body now with things like:
- blood sugar stability (comment SEXY6 for help with this)
- strength training and proper protein intake
- nervous system regulation (i.e. mindfulness, breathwork, somatics)
- cycle awareness and living in sync with the four phases
- targeted hormone testing when needed (we provide )

Perimenopause isn’t the beginning of the end.

It’s the beginning of a new era... one that can be very rewarding, especially when you learn how to support your biology in a way the allows you to thrive.

And the sooner you understand it, the more streamlined the transition can become.

Your luteal phase is the 10–14 days before your period and it can be a time of pure luxury… if you decide it is. 💋

For most women, late luteal is something they brace for. Cramps. Anxiety. Mood swings. Headaches. A dip in self-image and confidence.

But those symptoms are feedback. They’re your body’s way of asking for a different pace, higher standards, and more TLC. When you work with your cycle instead of overriding it, the shift is fast. You might even start looking forward to this intentional window to shed what’s not serving you and protect your energy like it’s an asset.

As hormones drop in the late luteal phase, energy and stamina naturally dip too so instead of forcing it, it’s about refinement.

If you’re ambitious, slowing down can feel irresponsible when you have big goals, deadlines, and people counting on you. But this is the POWER MOVE. This is where you get ruthless about what actually matters, where your time is best spent, and how to create stronger results with less effort.

Luteal luxury isn’t indulgent, it’s strategic.

When I was in college, my boyfriend said he didn’t believe in Hallmark holidays…

And when I finally dumped his 🍑 (4 years too late), I told myself, “I’m never waiting on a guy to feel loved again.”

After years of tolerating emotional abuse, gas lighting, and infidelity, I spent almost two years getting to know who I was. And instead of seeking validation outside of me, I went inward.

I started taking myself on solo dates and saying “table for one” with confidence.

I used to think eating alone was something only lonely people did… but I wasn’t lonely, I was learning how to love myself again. And I realized that I really liked the woman I had become.

For years, I thought my worth came down to how often someone complimented my outfit, my looks, or my intelligence.

I thought self-worth and confidence were built on outside approval and if I’m really honest, how many dudes wanted me.

I thought if I was desired by a man, it would fix my internal self-esteem issues but it never did. 

The season I spent meeting me again, I realized that I didn’t need to be with anyone. And for the first time, I was genuinely happy being alone.

And right around then… I met Josh .. woopsie🙄

They say “when you’re not looking, that’s when it happens” and I think it’s because not “needing” is a more magnetic, empowered state to attract from.

15 years later, I don’t look to my partner for proof that I’m enough.

I don’t wait for him to tell me I’m smart, pretty, or worthy because I give that to myself first.

Do I love when he compliments me? Duh!🙄 

Do I still think it’s cute that he opens my car door on date night? Yup, I hope he never stops. 🥰

Do I love that we choose experiences over gifts? 💯

But I don’t need to be with Josh.
I choose and want to be with him.
And he says the same thing.

And I believe it’s one of the reasons our relationship continues to grow stronger even through the ups and downs 🙏

After coaching hundreds of women through hormone healing and sustainable weight loss, here’s the hill I will die on:

You cannot out-discipline a subconscious belief that says, “this won’t work for me.”

You can follow the perfect plan, track every macro, wake up early to work out, and do everything “right,” and still feel stuck.

Because discipline isn’t the problem… Identity is.

Your behaviors will always rise or fall to match what you believe you’re worthy of. If deep down you do NOT feel safe being healthy, confident, visible, or successful, your body will subconsciously pull you back to what’s familiar.

Not because you want to go back, but because your nervous system is trying to protect you.

So no, you don’t need more willpower or a stricter routine, you need a new story.

When you shift your beliefs first and decide that healing is inevitable, everything changes. You stop forcing, starting over and treating your body like a problem to fix.

And your results finally last.

Personally, I don’t want temporary results that only work in a “perfect” season. I want a path forward that complements real life, travel, date nights, busy weeks, and all.

That’s the foundation of the work we do together inside my 1:1 coaching.
