Twin of A Kind

Participants will engage in essential skill building acitivities, each focused on developing important components of healthy self-esteem.

Twin of A Kind provides interactive workshops called "Unlock and Unleash Your Star Potential", designed to help individuals get to know themselves, love themselves, and be true to themselves. Twin of A Kind takes you AS YOU ARE; caters to both male and female, age ranging 12-24, utilizing professional work experience in mental health, modeling, and real-life lessons to engage youth’s interests. Participants will learn about how to like and love themselves; find out what makes them a successful individual and improve their self-worth. These lessons will be shared through discussions on real-life experiences, role-playing and interactive engagement. The worshops include an interactive curriculum that covers topics like:

- Liking you in the mirror
- Conquering self-doubt
- Body appreciation
- Selling yourself in the best possible light
- Etiquette
- Knowing your potential
- Who am I now & where am I going

TWIN OF A KIND responds to a father that asks, "What should I tell my son who is struggling with his physical appearance and comments that he doesn't like the skin he is in?"

This issue speaks to our heart because we felt this way at one point in our lives. We learned that you must embrace your differences. The Lord, our God, made everyone unique and different on purpose and we all fit in this world. Embrace your flaws whether it be a physical trait or a certain characteristic because those same differences you call flaws are unique advantages we have in life that only we can seize and use to empower.

"So don't underestimate yourself by comparing yourself with others, it's our differences that make us unique and beautiful." Being around positive people that continually give you daily positive self-affirmations and support will enhance self-empowerment.
