Happy Earth Day!🌎

Reminded of my grandmother today who instilled a love of flowers in me. I have vivid memories of the pansies and roses that lined the walkway to my grandparents’ front door. My grandfather was an avid gardener who grew a variety of fruits and vegetables. My first fig was eaten in their backyard! My first cat, was given to me by my father when I was just 4 years old. That’s my first memory of falling absolutely and irrevocably in love with cats and eventually, all animals! And because of this love, my mother would buy me books and take me on library excursions to satisfy my curiosity and desire to learn all I could about the magnificent creatures inhabiting this earth!

Our earth, our home, our mother, let us honor, cherish and take care of her everyday!💚

Pink Full Moon in Libra.
The moon will not appear pink. It was given this name because of the pink spring flowers, moss phlox, blooming this time of year.🌸

Feelings of nostalgia and sentimentality may bring you to the past. A good time for introspection and self reflection but be careful not to linger on thoughts of what was or could have or should have been. Keep your mind and heart on growth and renewal, looking forward to what you are now creating.🌱

If there isn’t a seat at the table, bring a folding chair!🪑

If you don’t see people who look like you in a space, then create the space for yourself - be the first one, the only one. Too often we hold back in life because we care about how we will be judged. Whether that is due to age, color, ability, gender . . . etc. Especially so in social/career/work choices.

So many messages swirling around us, blatantly and quietly telling us how we should, think, feel, act, react. How we should look, dress, what “milestones” we should achieve according to an arbitrary timeline, what material possessions we should have, where we should live, what we should eat, drink, and the list goes on.

Each of us is perfectly unique. If you are alive, there is a reason, and a space that is meant especially for you. If you feel called to a place, space, vocation - go! You do not need permission to be yourself or to create a life that feels amazing!💙

(Of course, while respecting others right to their preferences.😊)

Playing with Snapchat. Did they know?
Butterfly symbolism is metamorphosis, transformation, joy, lightness of being.
A caterpillar completely dissolves in it’s chrysalis to become the butterfly. The lesson of the butterfly is to let go of old behaviors to allow for a new transformed existence.

May we remember the joys, acknowledge and learn from our harmful behaviors and transform into a more loving, humane society.🐛🦋
