💜 Women’s History Month 💜
This month, we honor the courage, resilience, and contributions of women throughout history — while recognizing the ongoing impact of gender inequity, systemic barriers, and intergenerational trauma on mental health.
For mental health professionals, Women’s History Month is a reminder to:
• Practice gender-responsive and trauma-informed care
• Recognize the impact of reproductive, workplace, and caregiving stressors
• Support survivors of gender-based violence
• Advocate for equity in access to care
Professional Resources:
American Psychological Association (APA) – Research on women’s mental health & gender bias
National Organization for Women (NOW) – Advocacy and policy updates
Office on Women's Health – Education and health equity resources
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) – Women’s mental health information
Honoring women’s history means committing to culturally responsive, equitable, and empowering care — not just this month, but in every session.
