Counseling Partners of Los Angeles Committed to Success for Every Student Every Day. Students are referred by the principal, teachers, and parents or may self-refer.

School-based mental health providers

Each school is assigned a staff of highly committed and compassionate volunteer counselors who meet the ongoing counseling needs of the students and school community. Schools pay an annual fee directly to CPLA . All students are eligible to receive services from CPLA counselors at any time with no fee directly charged to students or families. Students are referred to counselors when teachers and parents are concerned about a student’s behavior, attitude, emotional well-being and/or motivation. The counselor is a trusted and capable source of support. They create partnerships with parents and teachers to help and support their students. Even with our low fee, there are many schools who simply do not have the funds to offer our program for students at their school. Therefore we are pursuing grant opportunities and partnerships with funding organizations and private individuals. In addition, we are planning fundraising events in the community to create awareness for our new organization and to identify possible individual donors for our cause. Our goal is to create a pool of funds to provide subsidies for those many schools with high-risk populations that want but cannot afford to pay for our services.
