This is the hardest story I've ever told. I have filmed this multiple times over the past year but would end up crying and not finishing.

This is the reason I started this account a few years ago but never told my story.

I was almost 40, bedridden, with three young kids I could barely take care of.

I'd seen 25 doctors. Every one of them told me my labs looked fine.

Then the 26th doctor finally listened.

The years of trial and error, and the one thing nobody wanted to talk about that started turning it around.

Follow so you don't miss it. I didn't have anyone telling me this stuff I had to figure a lot of it out on my own. Thankfully I eventually found some great integrative Dr.'s that helped me.

I’ve been going down a rabbit hole on fabric dyes…

and something I didn’t expect is even a lot of “organic” fabrics are still dyed with synthetic chemicals.

Which means it’s sitting on your skin all day… and all night 😬, we ain't got time for that!!

I never really thought about it like that, but I can't stop thinking about it now.

It's not about being perfect, I will never promote that but learning and making better swaps where I can is the way to go.

I had the privilege of attending Canva Create yesterday and honestly… I went in hoping I’d finally understand everything Canva has to offer.

Let me be real… it was a LOT for my Lyme brain 🤪
But I did walk away learning a few really helpful things.

One thing I thought was genius… they had a Canva Create app to help navigate the event 👏🏼

If I could do it again, I would 100% go with someone who already knows Canva well so I could follow along better and not feel like I was playing catch up the whole time.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the event:

• Massive creative energy, so many creators and ideas in one space
• Tons of tools, features, and updates being shared
• Great for inspiration if you’re building a brand or creating content
• You can tell Canva is really trying to evolve into an all-in-one platform
• Met some amazing people and had great conversations

A couple honest suggestions I’d put in the suggestion box:

• Please have a true beginner area, like beginner beginner
• Navigation was a little confusing at times
• Would love to see outside vendors for food and coffee options

I also heard similar feedback from other attendees, so I know I wasn’t alone there.

Overall though, it was an amazing event and I would absolutely attend again next year.

BIOHACKERS LA SERIES, GUT HEALTH EDIT

Spent the day at the Green Jobs Pavilion during LA Climate Week and honestly… this is where things start to feel real.

This entire experience was created by Kristy Drutman and Usman Fahimullah, founders of the Green Jobs Board, with the goal of connecting people to real opportunities in the sustainability space.

And you can feel that intention in every part of it.

This wasn’t just talk, it was companies and organizations actually building a more sustainable future across:
• clean energy
• sustainable fashion
• food systems
• climate tech
• conservation
• and more

What stood out the most is that it wasn’t just about awareness… it was about action and access.

Every company was there to help people step into green careers through:
• job opportunities
• mentorship
• education
• real connections

Because the truth is… a more sustainable world doesn’t happen without people stepping into these roles.

I didn’t get a chance to talk to everyone, but what they’re doing is seriously so cool and so needed right now.

Okay low tox besties… I had to ask about this one 👀

I interviewed Ryan at Biohackers World because I kept hearing about “light systems” that go beyond typical red light therapy… and I wanted the actual science.

Here’s the simple breakdown:

What this is:
• a light-based system designed to interact with your body’s electrical signals
• not just light exposure, but specific frequencies and wave patterns

How it works (in real terms):
• your cells and DNA conduct electrical energy
• this system uses opposing light waves to create a more “coherent” signal
• it’s designed to match your body’s natural frequencies (think tuning, not forcing)

What the research showed:
• ~61% increase in cellular conductivity in just 30 minutes 
• up to ~80% under certain conditions 
• improvements also seen in DNA conductivity

Why that matters:
• better cellular communication
• more efficient energy flow
• potentially supports repair + overall function

My take:
I haven’t personally tried this yet, but I would love to to see how my body responds.

This is definitely more in the bioenergetics / frequency space…
the mechanisms are rooted in real biophysics, but the research is still early (small pilot study).

Low tox besties… this one actually made me pause

I grew up around harsh cleaning chemicals, and I’ve been trying to unlearn that ever since

Most “clean” products still rely on the same chemical systems
just marketed differently

This one works differently

Starting a new series on everything I tried at the .world LA and we’re kicking it off with PEMF

This device is from OlyNation, and it was one of the most interesting things I experienced at the event.

If you’ve been here a while, you know I’ve been on a deep healing journey for years. I actually used a much smaller PEMF device back when I was going through intense Lyme disease treatment… but nothing like this.

This felt next level. Think deeper, more full-body support, and I honestly felt it almost immediately.

Also have to say, from OlyNation was so helpful in explaining everything and walking me through how it works, which I really appreciate because you know I don’t share anything without understanding it first.
