Autoimmune diseases are skyrocketing around the world 📈

Yes, genes play a role… but everyone has genes. That alone doesn’t explain the rise.

The real culprit? Our daily environment.

Every day, we’re exposed to toxic chemicals in food, cosmetics, cleaning products, and pollution.

These exposures silently reprogram the immune system, creating triggers most people never even know exist.

Combine that with genetic susceptibility, and the result is undeniable: autoimmune diseases are rising at alarming rates.

At Immunosciences Labs, we partner with you to uncover hidden triggers (foods, chemicals, and environmental factors) so you can see the unseen and take control of your immune health.

Together, we can uncover what’s driving your immune system and empower you to take action.

Autoimmunity is skyrocketing in women 📈

Dr. V explains all of the daily exposures that quietly reshape the immune system.

Makeup, cleaning products, cooking fumes…

Hormones may play a role, but these are the things that are really driving autoimmunity ⚠️

After the buzz around my tuna reel, here’s another reason not all foods are created equal ⚠️

Some don’t react to raw wheat… but react strongly to wheat from processed foods like sausage.

Heat, cooking, and additives change proteins and create new antigens.

This means that many “safe” foods are only safe until they’re modified or cooked.

Testing against both raw and processed forms can reveal hidden triggers you’d otherwise miss!

One reason autoimmune disease is more common in women: hormones.

Our immune system actually responds to hormones like estrogen.

So when hormones shift (especially during times like puberty), the immune system can shift too… which may be one reason autoimmune disease shows up more often in women.

Should we always assume autoimmunity is permanent? Not necessarily.

When the underlying trigger can be identified and removed, the immune system may have the opportunity to recalibrate. In some cases, the body can begin to repair itself.

Have you seen cases where identifying the trigger changed the trajectory of autoimmune disease? 🙏🏻

Stress doesn’t just affect the mind. It can affect the brain’s protective barriers.

The blood–brain barrier is designed to keep potentially harmful substances out of the brain while allowing only select molecules to pass…but chronic stress, infections, environmental toxins, and physical trauma can disrupt that barrier.

When that protective barrier becomes disrupted, substances that normally wouldn’t reach the brain may start getting through.

That’s when immune activity happening elsewhere in the body can begin to influence the brain.

Practitioners: How often do you see chronic stress contributing to complex or chronic illness in your patients? 🤯

Beans are considered healthy… and for many people, they absolutely are.

Here’s where nuance matters 👉🏼Certain foods, especially legumes like beans, naturally contain proteins called lectins and agglutinins.

When beans are undercooked or not prepared properly, those compounds can irritate the gut lining and interact with the bacteria living there.

In some individuals, this can cause acute food poisoning–type symptoms. For others, properly soaked and thoroughly cooked beans are completely tolerated.

The difference often comes down to the integrity of the gut barrier and the resilience of the immune system.

What questions do you have about food and immune reactions? 🧬

30 years behind. 🤯

That’s how Dr. Aristo Vojdani describes the pace of conventional medicine compared to functional and integrative approaches.

The irony? The same gut-brain-immune connections once called “impossible” now headline Nature Medicine and Scientific American.

Functional medicine continues to lead where others follow.

Progress may be slow, but it’s happening… and at Immunosciences Lab, we’ll keep driving it forward 💪

Consistency and accuracy aren’t accidental - they’re the result of rigorous science.

When we develop a new test at Immunosciences Lab, we ensure that if you run it today, tomorrow, or even eight times in a row, the results remain reliable and consistent.

At Immunosciences Lab, every test we develop goes through years of rigorous validation:
✔ Reproducibility across time and replicates ✔ Interference checks ✔ Reference range establishment

It takes about two years to bring a single new test to life, because the stakes are too high to rush.

These aren’t just numbers. They’re decisions that impact lives.

That’s the level of precision your patients deserve.

This stopped us right in our tracks.

Same fish 🐟 Different immune reaction.

When we compared raw tuna to canned tuna in the lab, the difference surprised even us.

It’s not always just what you eat…

Sometimes it’s how it’s processed that changes everything.

It raises a much bigger question: How many other foods change in ways we don’t realize? 🤯

For years, Alzheimer’s was viewed mostly as a neurological disease.

Now researchers are asking a different question 👉 What role does the immune system play?

New research suggests autoimmune processes may be involved in the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

Scientists are moving closer to a future where a simple blood test could help identify certain risk factors long before symptoms begin.

The intersection of immunology and brain health is only beginning to unfold.

What questions do you have about the immune system’s role in brain health? 🧠

The reason I keep talking about the “window of opportunity” for autoimmunity is because it’s real.

Research shows antibodies can be present in the blood 3 to 20 years before a diagnosis.

Genes may account for only about 30% of risk. The rest is often environmental.

When the immune system is chronically triggered, it can affect the brain. Over time, persistent inflammation can contribute to neurodegenerative disorders.

By the time memory loss or neurological symptoms appear, the immune process may have been building quietly for years.

THAT is the window. Let’s identify it before it closes.
