This past year changed me.

It has been a powerful turning point of returning to myself. Remembering who I was before life, expectations, and pressure pulled me in every direction. Healing, softening, and strengthening from the inside out.

I stopped shrinking. I stopped apologizing for my intuition, my sensitivity, and my strength. I stopped carrying other people’s expectations and started honoring who I really am.

I recently sat down for one of the most honest interviews I’ve ever done. It is raw, it is real, and it is not just about fitness. It is about identity, resilience, and finding your way back to the truest parts of yourself.

Recently, I was reminded how important it is to ask the hard questions, even when it’s uncomfortable.

I went through a vetting process for what seemed like a great new opportunity. On paper, it checked all the boxes. But once I started asking questions about alignment, protection, and values, the answers didn’t feel right.

And that’s when I realized… The real win was clarity.

I’m grateful I trusted my instincts and protected my business. Sometimes the best “yes” is actually a “no” that honors your values.

That same principle applies to your health and fitness journey.
Ask the hard questions.

I didn’t train much for the Burpee Biathlon™ this year.

I only did about 30 to 40 burpees in the few weeks leading up to the event.

Still, I completed the 3-mile version.
That’s 180 burpees and a 3-mile run.
No modifications. No shortcuts.

I didn’t feel particularly strong during the event.
But I felt happy.
I felt surprised.
And I felt proud.

Sometimes it’s not about being at your peak. It’s about showing up and proving to yourself that your body can handle more than you think.

This year’s medal was a handmade glass piece.
Beautiful. Unique. A symbol of follow-through, not perfection.
