How quickly does Ozempic work?

Your blood glucose (sugar) levels should start to fully decline within the first week after you start using Ozempic (semaglutide) at your regular maintenance dose. However, the full effect can take 8 weeks or longer, as this is a long-acting medication that is injected only once per week.

MOUNJARO ALLOWED ME TO PARTICIPATE MORE IN LIFE
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a once-weekly injectable medication from Lilly Diabetes. It is the first and only dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. It has proven to help people with diabetes gain significant reductions in A1c levels and body weight.

Recent results from the SURPASS clinical trials showed that Mounjaro has a big impact on weight loss, A1c and cholesterol in people living with type 2 diabetes.

Indication and Limitations of Use:
Trulicity is a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine to improve blood sugar (glucose) in adults with type 2 diabetes (mellitus). It should be used along with diet and exercise. Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events (problems having to do with the heart and blood vessels) such as death, heart attack, or stroke in people who have heart disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors. It is not known if TRULICITY can be used in people who have had pancreatitis. TRULICITY is not for use in people with type 1 diabetes. TRULICITY is not recommended for use in people with severe stomach or intestinal problems. It is not known if TRULICITY is safe and effective for use in children. TRULICITY should not be used in children under 18.

RECOMMEND DOSAGE FOR RYBELSUS

Start RYBELSUS with 3 mg once daily for 30 days. The 3 mg dose is intended for treatment initiation and is not effective for glycemic control.

•After 30 days on the 3 mg dose, increase the dose to 7 mg once daily.

•Dose may be increased to 14 mg once daily if additional glycemic control is needed after at least 30 days on the 7 mg dose.

•Taking two 7 mg RYBELSUS tablets to achieve a 14 mg dose is not recommended.

•If a dose is missed, the missed dose should be skipped, and the next dose should be taken the following day.
