We’d like to address the recent social media posting that was made.
First and foremost we want to sincerely thank the compassionate drivers who pulled over to assist during this incident. Your quick action and concern for our community’s elders are deeply appreciated.
We would like to clarify that the resident mentioned was safely redirected back home, less than 50 yards from our center. Our team responded immediately and with care, ensuring the resident’s well-being and safety.
We understand how moments like these can raise questions. However, posts like the one shared anonymously yesterday about said incident —especially when shared without full context—can be unnecessarily harmful to small businesses that are deeply committed to the safety and dignity of our residents, the well-being of our staff, and the strength of our local community.
When elders experience memory loss, brief wandering episodes can occur. This is often one of the reasons families choose supportive care environments. Slandering a care team that works tirelessly to provide the best possible support doesn’t serve the resident, the family, or the broader community.
When an elder resident is prone to wandering, we do everything in our power to ensure their safety. That includes monitoring, staff training, and swift response protocols. Still, there are rare moments when circumstances fall outside our control—and in those moments, our team acted quickly, professionally, and with compassion.
We remain committed to transparency, continuous improvement, and heartfelt care.
Thank you
