🍃These are the moments that remind me why I do this work! 🍃
A client with decades of chronic gut pain came in, amazed to find her stomach no longer in pain. At first, she thought she was numb but what she was feeling was calm - something she’d never experienced before.
After years of trauma and physical pain, she’s now starting to imprint a new, pain-free experience.
It’s fascinating to witness healing when the body feels safe enough to remember its natural ease.

I had the pleasure of attending Alia Aizenstat’s Grand Opening of her group therapy practice, “Insight Therapy,” in Santa Barbara, California. 🌿Alia and I both graduated from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and she and I have been in a consultation group together for many years now. It was such a joy to be around her and her parents, family, and friends, connecting via the depth world and celebrating this expansion. 🪔

The office decor is beautiful and it feels like such a safe place to explore one’s inner world and process emotional challenges. I also met her Associates who are warm, welcoming, and skilled clinicians. I’m proud of you Alia and excited for Santa Barbara to have such an asset of skilled therapists in their community. 🙌

You can find more information and book sessions via or insighttherapy.center.

A change of seasons provides us with the opportunity to reflect on the past year and see where it is we want to go in the coming year.

Changing of the seasons can be challenging at times. It can push us to our edges. It can feel like a pressure. But on the other side of that is often an opportunity for something new to grow, so let me know what seeds you’re planting in your garden for this coming year, what you’re proud of from this last year, and what you’re letting go of in the comments below.

I would love to hear what this transition is like for you.

The Healing Power of Brainspotting 🦋☀️🌷

This summer, I had the privilege of attending a Brainspotting Intensive with Kelly Larson in Northern California. It was incredible to be held in such a sacred space with the nature and community of attendees.

Journaling has been a long time go-to practice for me and with the support of the birds sounds and my feet in the warm water, I was able to come deeply into a present centered space. Looking around at the tree above me and taking in the colors and pace of the world around me was so regulating and helped me connect with the deeper truths within me.

Each attendee had a two hour Brainspotting session witnessed by the group where we dropped into the subconscious mind and witnessed incredible healing take place. From fears of going to the dentist and swimming in pools, to depression related to traumatic events, transformation took place. The fears became manageable or disappeared completely and the depression fostered the way for expansive possibilities to come through.

The power of Brainspotting with our co-regulating nervous systems offers us a space to drop in, turn on, and process deep seated experiences so that we can move forward in our lives with more freedom than we had before.

I have experienced firsthand the power of this work and it is a gift to be able to share it with others.

Never underestimate the power of beauty. 🌿✨
As the seasons shift from summer to fall, the air cools, and the days get shorter. We move from bright, playful days to longer, quieter nights. Here on the coast, the summer fog lifts and the stars start to reappear.
For mental health, I’ve always loved hiking after work, but with the earlier sunsets, I’ve had to find new ways to care for myself. This morning, I woke up feeling a little off, so I decided to get outside. To my surprise, the bay was breathtaking, glassy water, vibrant flowers still blooming, and the peaceful light of autumn.
Yesterday, I took a personality test (you can take it too! Check it out at http://viacharacter.org) and found that beauty is my top value. Even when things feel heavy in life, being surrounded by nature reminds me of the healing power of beauty. The colors, the light it shifts my whole perspective.
What brings beauty into your life? How do you let it nourish you? Share your thoughts with me below! 💬🌸

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, nature has a way of reminding us who we are. This 30 second meditation is an invitation to slow down and listen to the sounds of the waves, the birds, and the part of you that already knows the way home.

Living in the Unknown

Life is full of many shades of in-between.

In between jobs.
In between relationships.
In between dishes.
In between day and night.

The in-between is a space of not knowing what comes next.
It’s the tension between opposing forces—
an ending and a beginning, a pause before the pivot.

✨ “Master the unknown by knowing your deep self.”

These liminal spaces are powerful invitations to turn inward.
To listen.
To reconnect with what’s true to your heart.
To understand the choices you make—and why.

Therapy offers the support to meet these moments with courage, presence, and meaning.
To ground into your soul’s path, even when the road ahead feels unclear.
To learn to trust yourself, life, and the unfolding of your own becoming.
