Today is about celebrating women.

The mothers.
The women who hope to be someday.
The women who have chosen different paths.
The women who lead, support, build, and show up for the people around them every day.

As I raise a daughter, I think a lot about the women she will grow up watching and learning from. The ones who show her what strength, kindness, resilience, and confidence look like in real life.

I’m incredibly grateful for the strong women in my life that she gets to look up to.

Strong girls start with strong women.

Today is IBCLC Day, and I’m taking a moment to celebrate a profession that means so much to me.

Becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant was one of the most challenging and meaningful steps in my career. It represents hundreds of clinical hours, extensive education, and a deep commitment to supporting families through one of the most vulnerable and transformative seasons of life.

But more than the credential, it represents the work.

The quiet moments helping a baby latch for the first time.
Supporting a mother through tears, exhaustion, and doubt.
Troubleshooting the things no one talks about.
And celebrating the victories that sometimes feel small but are actually huge.

Breastfeeding doesn’t always come easily. And no mother should feel like she has to figure it out alone.

To the families who have trusted me to walk alongside them in their feeding journey, thank you. It is an incredible privilege.

And to my fellow IBCLCs everywhere, thank you for the work you do every single day.

Today is World Compliment Day and I want to say something that not enough mothers hear.

You are doing an incredible job.

Whether you are pregnant and navigating all the unknowns, newly postpartum and healing while caring for a tiny human, pumping at work between meetings, rebuilding your strength one session at a time, or simply trying to make it through the day… you are showing up.

Your body is strong.
Your effort matters.
Your presence is enough.

Motherhood is not easy. It stretches you physically, mentally, and emotionally. And still, you keep going.

If no one has told you lately, I am proud of you.

I’m incredibly honored to share that A Path Forward has been nominated in multiple categories for 2026 Best of Loudoun.

And I was personally nominated for Personal Trainer.

Small business ownership is not for the faint of heart. To be nominated across multiple categories means more than I can explain.

If you believe in what we’re building at APF and the way we support women and families in this community, I would be so grateful for your vote.

Voting for the Top 5 is open now through March 3rd. You can vote once per day. Sharing is also encouraged!

Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting local, women-owned businesses in Loudoun.

Today is World Breast Pumping Day, and as someone who was an exclusive pumper for my daughter, this day holds a special place in my heart.

Pumping is breastfeeding.

It’s dedication, time, planning, patience, washing parts at 11pm, making bottles at 3am, and doing it all again tomorrow. It’s coolers, schedules, apps, storage bags, and so much love.

However you feed your baby, if pumping has been part of your journey, you know it’s work. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. And you deserve to be recognized for that effort and the intention behind it.

To all the pumpers - exclusive, combo, back-to-work, part-time, and “just trying to make it to tomorrow” - I see you. I’ve been you. I deeply respect what you’re doing.

Pumping is breastfeeding, and today, we celebrate you. 💜

MOVE-IN DAY!!! After a year of building, decision fatigue, debating cabinet colors, changing our minds, changing them back, being in temporary housing, and basically living out of bins… we are finally moving into our forever home. And yes, we are doing it one day before a snowstorm because… of course we are.

The kids have been absolute troopers during this whole process. Meanwhile I have been operating at a steady level of “should we change that?” for twelve months straight. Today feels huge for our family and I’m so excited to officially land.

Most of my clients have heard every detail of this build (thank you for letting me talk about countertops during lactation consults and workouts 😂) and it feels really special to get to share this last piece with you.

At APF, family is always the why and getting to finally create our forever home for our kids, while sharing the chaos and excitement with my APF family, makes it even better.

Huge shoutout to the dream team that made closing happen TODAY before the blizzard. 🥶 Realtor, lender, title, movers… MVP behavior.

New chapter. Forever home. Same chaos. Different kitchen. Feeling very grateful and also very ready for a snow day in our own house.

My heart is full. 🩷

Feeding your baby shouldn’t feel like something you have to navigate alone, and it shouldn’t only be supported for the first six weeks.

I’m excited to share that lactation services at A Path Forward are now eligible for insurance coverage, depending on your plan. This includes support across the full feeding journey, not just the newborn phase.

Services include:
•Prenatal education and preparation
•Postnatal lactation support
•Feeding challenges and solutions
•Pumping and bottle guidance
•Return to work planning
•Weaning support

If you’re not sure what you need, or what phase you’re in, that’s exactly what I’m here for. Care can be tailored for breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, combo feeding, or any mix of the above. Virtual and in-studio appointments are available.

Coverage varies by plan. If you’d like to verify benefits or learn more, send me a message and I’ll point you in the right direction.

Support is available during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. No one feeds alone here.
