Yesterday afternoon at Maria Parham Health, we had the honor of celebrating an incredible milestone — Meredith Harris’ retirement after 40 years of dedicated service to MPH!
For four decades, Meredith has been a valued member of our Lab Team, bringing not only her expertise and commitment to excellence, but also her spunky, outspoken personality that kept us all on our toes. She has made a lasting impact on her colleagues and our organization, and she will truly be missed.
Please join us in wishing Meredith all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter. We hope retirement brings her everything she wants and more — she’s certainly earned it!

With below freezing temperatures expected this weekend in Louisburg, now’s the time to bundle up the smart way!
Dressing in layers is one of the best ways to protect yourself from frostbite and cold-related injuries. Layers trap body heat, help manage moisture, and let you adjust as temperatures and wind conditions change. Big news for Maria Parham Franklin! Our Emergency Department renovation has officially received its Certificate of Occupancy. This project restored three rooms with greater privacy and safety, along with some other structural and flow elements to promote better care and a safer environment for all.

This is an important milestone in our ongoing mission to expand access to high-quality care for our community. Thank you to our patients and staff for their patience during this months-long transition. We’re proud to continue serving the Franklin County community and beyond with compassion, dedication, and improved facilities.

Yesterday afternoon, we had the privilege of witnessing the historic Walk for Peace with the Venerable Monks as they came through Louisburg, right past the hospital. Our team put together care packages to greet them with as they passed by.

Their peaceful and compassionate message was felt by all and is a great reminder to live with peace in our everyday actions and with open hearts. We’re wishing them safe travels on the rest of their journey.
