This week we celebrated our incredible Nurse Practitioners at PCMH during National Nurse Practitioner Week!

Our NP’s play such an important role in patient care. They diagnose, treat, and guide patients through every stage of life, often serving as the friendly, familiar face you see at your appointments. Their knowledge, compassion, and dedication help us keep care close to home.

💙 Thank you to our Nurse Practitioners for caring for our community like family. You make a bigger difference than you know!

We want to give a big thank you to the Van-Far Elementary School for honoring us with a Community Supporter Award! This was such a thoughtful surprise, and it truly means so much to our team.

We love supporting our students, teachers, and families, and being recognized by the school makes the work feel even more meaningful. We’re grateful for the partnership and the chance to be part of the great things happening in Vandalia!

Thank you again for this recognition. We’re proud to stand beside you and cheer on your students every step of the way!

This week, we’re celebrating our perioperative nurses at PCMH! These are the nurses who guide patients through every part of their surgical journey. They prep the OR, make sure everything is sterile and safe, and keep a close eye on patients while they’re under anesthesia. They stay calm, focused, and compassionate from start to finish.

If you’ve ever watched them work, you know how much they bring to the table. Their attention to detail and steady presence help make every surgery safer and smoother for our patients.

To our perioperative nursing team, thank you so much! We appreciate you today and every day.

Happy Perioperative Nurses Week!

Today, we’re taking a moment to pause and think about the veterans in our community and across the country. Veterans Day always reminds us that the freedoms we enjoy came from the courage and sacrifice of men and women who chose to serve. It’s humbling when you really stop and sit with that.

To every veteran who walks through our doors, works beside us, or calls Pike County home… thank you. Your service, your strength, and your willingness to put others before yourself inspire us. We hope you feel seen and appreciated today.

From all of us at Pike County Memorial Hospital, we honor you and we are grateful for you. Today and every day.

And a special thank you to the Louisiana Lions Club for our Field of Flags display in front of the hospital 🇺🇸

It’s Med Surg Nurse Week, and we just have to brag on our amazing team for a minute.

Our Med Surg nurses are the ones who seem to do it all. They care for patients through recovery, keep everything running smoothly, and somehow still find time to share a kind word or a smile. No matter how hectic things get, they stay focused and caring, always putting patients first.

We couldn’t even get a group picture because they’re constantly on the move caring for patients and helping wherever they’re needed. And that pretty much says it all!

If you see one of our Med Surg nurses this week, be sure to tell them how much they’re appreciated!

This week, we’re celebrating our RAD techs at PCMH!

Our Radiology team plays a key role in patient care, using imaging technology to help diagnose injuries and illnesses so providers can make the best treatment plans. From X-rays to CT scans and more, their expertise helps patients get the answers they need.

We’re proud to have such a skilled and caring group of techs on our team. Thanks for keeping things “RAD” every day!

For most, a blister or cut on the foot is a small inconvenience that a Band-Aid™ and time will heal, but that’s not the case for the 38.4 million Americans who have diabetes.

Complications of diabetes, like neuropathy and peripheral vascular diseases, make feet vulnerable to ulcers that can lead to infection and even amputation.

If you have a diabetes-related wound, the Pike County Memorial Hospital Wound Clinc can help! Call 877-295-2273 for more information.
