URGENT! Louisville Metro Council is set to vote a proposed ordinance on human trafficking (0-267-25) into law on Thursday, November 13. This law will only allow Licensed Massage Therapists to work on glutes or pecs under direction of a medical professional. That means you will have to have a note from your doctor for us to work on these area. We LMTs would like to be exempt from this law as Kentucky law already states clearly what we may and may not do. Please call your city council rep today!

Thank you for your service to our community.
We are all against human trafficking but the proposed ordinance 0-267-25 will not slow it down as the ordinance is currently worded.
The exemption for LMTs needs to be reworded. I request that Section 115.196 EXCEPTIONS. (C) read as follows:
(C). Licensed massage therapists who are providing massage services in accordance with KRS 309.350 - 309.364 and 201 KAR 42:010 - 42:110. The offices, salons and clinics where LMTs legally provide services shall not be considered “massage establishments.”
Also, I am extremely dissatisfied that there are no penalties for the customers of human trafficking.
Please consider making these two changes!
Thank you again for working to keep the Metro Louisville area safe and for listening to all concerned citizens.
