Nutrition + Therapy = Better Outcomes

During National Nutrition Month, we’re highlighting how proper nutrition directly supports rehabilitation progress.

Research continues to show that:
• Adequate protein intake promotes muscle rebuilding and strength gains in PT
• Hydration supports endurance and safe participation in therapy sessions
• Balanced nutrition enhances cognitive performance and functional independence in OT & ST

🎉 Introducing Our New SigRehab ROO: Brittney Sparks! 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Brittney Sparks, SLP-CCC, on her promotion to Regional Operations Officer (ROO) with Signature Rehab! 👏💙 In her new role, Brittney will be supporting our Western Kentucky Parkway homes.

Brittney has been a valued member of Signature Rehab for 11 years, bringing strong clinical excellence, operational knowledge, and a people-first leadership style to everything she does. She holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida and has served as a Rehab Services Manager at Portland and Westmoreland for the past 8 years, where she consistently demonstrated excellence in leadership and team development. Her passion for quality care and operational excellence makes her an outstanding addition to this leadership role.

Brittney is most excited about connecting with new teams, supporting regional growth, and working alongside leaders and clinicians across Western Kentucky.

Sheri’s journey began as an Occupational Therapist and Rehab Manager and has grown into a career marked by leadership, innovation, and unwavering commitment to rehab excellence. Now serving as Director of Clinical Compliance, Rehab, Sheri continues to support teams across the organization with integrity, collaboration, and passion for quality care.
Her dedication to our mission, her belief in teamwork, and her drive for continuous improvement make her an invaluable leader within Signature Rehab.

Today we’re proud to celebrate Sheri Games Newsome’s 25-year Sigiversary!

Sheri began her career as an Occupational Therapist and Rehab Manager in Kentucky and has grown into a respected leader across our rehabilitation division. Over the years, she’s served in multiple roles, including Rehab Area Director, Director of Education & Program Development, Director of Clinical Services, and now Director of Clinical Compliance, Rehab.

What’s kept Sheri at Signature for 25 years? A mission that aligns with her values, a strong culture of family, and teammates who are committed to continuous improvement and quality care.

Her advice to new stakeholders: Lead with teamwork, integrity, and a positive attitude — and don’t be afraid to share your ideas.

Outside of work, Sheri loves time with her family, especially her grandbaby Athena, along with music, cooking, and attending auctions.

We’re celebrating the incredible success of the Signature RESTORE Skills Tournament – Weeks 1 & 2! 🎉The Rehab, Life Enrichment, and Restorative teams have worked together to bring excitement and a sense of competitiveness out for the residents during these last two weeks of the tournament. We are excited to see who will come out as the winners during Week 3 Bowling Legends competition! 🎳

🏈 The Super Bowl Challenge is here! 🏈

Our annual Signature Super Bowl Challenge has officially kicked off — a fun, four-week competition focused on movement, teamwork, and resident engagement.

Residents earn steps through therapy, restorative programs, group exercise, and weekly bonus challenges, helping move our home down the field on the leaderboard. Every step counts!

Let’s cheer each other on as we race toward the end zone! Stay tuned for photos!

🎉🎊 Ringing in 2026 at Prestonsburg Health Care Center! 🎊🎉

The residents welcomed the New Year with smiles, movement, and fun thanks to a collaborative activity led by the Rehab and Life Enrichment teams! 🧡

Residents enjoyed a lively round of Bingocize® — combining the classic game of BINGO they love with targeted exercises designed to get everyone moving and engaged. To make the celebration even sweeter, festive snacks were enjoyed by all! 🍿🎯

What a great way to kick off 2026 with connection, activity, and joy. Here’s to a healthy, happy New Year at Prestonsburg! ✨
