Norton Heart & Vascular Institute is leading the way in heart failure care! ❤️
Last week, Norton Heart & Vascular Institute performed its first Barostim™ procedure — an innovative, FDA-approved implantable therapy for select patients with heart failure.
Barostim™ helps improve cardiovascular regulation by stimulating the body’s natural baroreceptors, which can reduce the heart’s workload and help ease symptoms like fatigue and shortness of breath. This new option expands hope for patients whose symptoms persist despite optimal treatment.
Being nominated once is an honor...being nominated TWICE speaks volumes. Congratulations to Demetria Murrell, LPN on winning teh DAISY award! 🌼.
Demetria consistently stands out for the calm, compassionate way she cares for patients and families, even during the busiest moments. She has a way of offering clear explanations, and making people feel truly seen!
One patient shared how Demetria noticed their anxiety while waiting for test results, pulled up a chair, and stayed to help them feel grounded again. That simple act of presence and reassurance made a lasting impact.
Thank you, Demetria, for the comfort, kindness, and humanity you bring to every patient. 💙
