Pride, Dignity and Service in Action at Thunder Over Louisville 🇺🇸

At PDS Optical our mission is to serve those who have served us. This past Saturday, we had the distinct honor of hosting a group of Veterans and several esteemed Veteran Service Organizations at the Kentucky Derby Festival's Thunder Over Louisville.

It was a privilege to share the day with partners dedicated to the Veteran community, including: Honor Flight Network, USA Cares, Inc., Team Red, White & Blue, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), Honor Flight Bluegrass and Derby City Dynamite.

Despite challenging weather, the spirit of the day remained bright. Between the awe-inspiring air show and the largest fireworks display in America, the real highlight was the opportunity to build personal relationships and create lasting memories with Veterans and other guests.

Giving back to this community is more than a goal; it is a core value. We are already looking forward to our next opportunity to support and connect with our nation’s heroes!

We are really excited about this weekend's Thunder Over Louisville celebration and the community of Veterans and other Veteran Service Organizations that will be joining us.

Thank you to Vision Monday for sharing our story and the lasting memories that we aim to create for those who sacrificed so much for our country.

We thought this would be a meaningful way to celebrate America250 with other people and organizations that align with our mission of supporting Veterans with Pride, Dignity and Service.

Last week, our CEO Sean Loosen, was interviewed by Vision Monday, about the unique eyecare needs of Veterans and how PDS Optical supports them.

PDS Optical CEO, Sean Loosen, joined WHAS11 News Great Day Live, to discuss how PDS Optical and the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), support military families in the Louisville community and across the US.

PDS Optical was honored to join the TAPS community at their annual Honor Guard Gala in Washington D.C., one of the most inspirational and significant events honoring our military families.

Jazmin, a survivor whose late husband, U.S. Army SPC Ramon Ojeda, was honored at the Gala, joined Sean to discuss the impact these organizations have on families like hers.

PDS Optical was well-represented and excited to be back at Vision Expo in Orlando, Florida last week.

This conference brings together the people and businesses moving our industry forward.

We enjoyed meeting with business partners, industry thought leaders, listening to interesting panels and also discussing the latest innovations shaping our industry.

There's no replacement for in-person connections and the quality time we shared was memorable, educational and inspiring.

At the end of the day, we're relentless in our pursuit to provide the best experience, support and products to our Veteran customers through their VA benefits.

We're always exploring ways in which we can raise the bar even higher, as they deserve the best.

The optical industry has a bright future and we're excited to be a part of it...😎

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) (TAPS) is an invaluable Veteran Service Organization (VSO) that makes an incredible impact on families grieving the death of a military or veteran loved one.

At PDS Optical, supporting Veterans and the Veteran community is central to our identity and mission.

Supporting other VSOs that align with this mission is also a pillar of our philanthropic efforts.

We are proud to sponsor the TAPS 2026 Honor Guard Gala, taking place in D.C. next week. This event brings together a tremendous community of military loss survivors, senior military leaders and other TAPS supporters for an unforgettable evening.

Thank you, TAPS, for all you do!
