Baby Amelia’s Birth | July 2023

Client Love: “Maddie was everything I didn’t know I needed in my birth space. My husband and I decided to hire Maddie when I was 30 weeks pregnant with my second baby. My first birth wasn’t necessarily a negative experience, but there was a lot that ended up being out of my control and I knew that I wanted my second birth to go a lot differently. Maddie almost ended up being out of town for my birth (so glad baby Mia waited a few days!) but even the education I received during the prenatal visits would’ve been worth the money if she wouldn’t have made it to the birth. However, I’m beyond grateful that we had Maddie there with us. Her calm and positive demeanor was exactly what I needed in my birth space. And although I didn’t get the pleasure of having her for very long ( #2 came very quickly!) I know that I wouldn’t have been able to have the birth I was hoping for without her. Eternally grateful to Maddie for all she did to support me during this special time!”

Doula Reflection: Let me tell you all about Katie! From the moment Katie and I met, I knew she would become a dear friend and that she was going to absolutely crush her birth. Well, sure enough, she did just that! When I tell you that I have never seen anyone prepare as much mentally and physically before their baby arrived, I mean it. On the morning leading up to little Amelia very quickly coming into the world, Katie went to the chiropractor and acupuncturist before heading to the hospital in full-blown labor like the mom boss she is! From a labor scare, while I was out of town 😅, to a very swift labor, little Amelia kept us on the edge of our seats the whole way. Katie, it was such an honor to support you and Spencer and quite literally hold you as you labored to bring Amelia into the world. This birth is one I won’t ever forget and this sweet family will forever hold a very special place in my heart.💗
