Mondays can be hectic with the preparations for the new week. We may be feeling depleted from the weekend or stressed for things to come. Take 10 minutes out of your day to completely immerse yourself in this guided meditation. Allow yourself to focus on the moment and your breath. Recognize the thoughts, expectations, and emotions as they come, then let them go. Create space to just exist in the present, redirect your thoughts, and experience relief from the craziness around us.
Try to incorporate 10 minutes of meditation into your daily routine. It is not always easy to quiet the mind and body. It may take practice and discipline, but the benefit to your mental and physical health will be worth it.

Spring is here!
Spring tends to symbolize change and rebirth as we move away from the colder weather to embrace new growth. There is more sun, warmth, and blossoming flowers around us. However, spring and early summer months tend to see the highest rate of su***de as well as increased depression and anxiety. Why is that?
Spring produces a lot of change. For some, change feels like an exciting opportunity, while others may feel an intense instability in their lives. Changes in school, weather, and routines can all produce anxiety. Warmer weather also invites more activities, social events, and responsibilities. Many people experience spring allergies, where our immune systems are working twice as hard. Hormones (specifically melatonin) might also contribute to mood changes in the springtime. It plays a vital role in regulating our sleep cycles, and any change in this system may produce sleep issues.
During these times it is important to remember to take care of yourself. Make sure you are getting plenty of rest. When planning your schedule try to not overextend yourself. Make room to focus on your own wellbeing, hobbies, and happiness.

Remember to slow down.
Take a moment and focus on your breathing. Each breath is life. Have you given yourself a few minutes to just breathe?
Focus on your body. Have you taken care of yourself today? Consider if there are parts of you that need extra attention.
Focus on your thoughts. Examine any intense emotions or negative thoughts and consider where they come from. What effect do they have on you? Then release them. They have no power over this moment.
Look around you. What can you see, or smell, or touch? Perhaps the sunrise early in the morning. Or the smell of fresh coffee wafting from a mug. Or maybe the soft sensation of a sweater on your skin, or the chill of the air on your face. How do you feel?
The past is gone and the future does not exist yet. There is only the present moment. Your moment. Remember to appreciate it, they go by so quickly and we tend to forget to be present.

It can be easy to forget what Valentine's Day represents. With the immense amount of expectations, advertisements, and products surrounding this day, we forget that what is important; love. Whether that be signifiant others, friends, or family. Appreciating those that we love comes in all forms. Individuals have their own love languages, but sometimes we put too much pressure on creating a "perfect" Valentines Day. This day can also be incredibly lonely or isolating for many people. Social media has the ability to perpetuate these issues as well. While chocolates and roses and hearts are fun, remember to present kindness and understanding to both yourself and the people around you.
Have a safe and wonderful Valentine's Day!

Our thoughts are pathways in the mind.
Well-trodden pathways are easy to continue along.
We know their way.
We know their destination.
If that is not a good place, we need to find a way off the path.
Create a crossroad in the path
Decide to take a different way.

Balance is one of the most important things in life. Finding balance in life can be extremely difficult. Balance between work and self-care, balance in boundaries and relationships, mental and physical health, passions, etc. Allowing ourselves to slow down and exist in the present moment can be difficult to maintain. There is a lot that is outside of our control and the weight of the world can be crushing. Focusing on finding that balance in the things that you do have control over is critical. Give yourself extra patience and attention. Every morning is a new day don't forget to experience it.
