Why she’s legendary: Dr. Bath was an ophthalmologist–inventor who created the Laserphaco Probe, a device/technique that uses lasers to remove cataracts.

Leadership + impact: She also co-founded the American Institute for the Prevention of Blindness to expand access to eye care and fight preventable blindness.
