We had a beautiful and meaningful Veterans Day commemoration this week. Our chapel was packed as residents gathered to honor those who served our country. It was a beautiful tribute to those incredible women and men who sacrificed so much for our freedoms. After the ceremony we celebrated with cake and ice cream - the perfect way to share fellowship and gratitude with our honored veterans. To ALL those who served, we're forever grateful for your service!!!♥️🇺🇸

What an unforgettable celebration we had this week!!! We gathered to honor a belated birthday for one of our cherished Centenarians - the JEWEL of our community - who turned an incredible 100 YEARS YOUNG!!!✨ Our Assisted Living family came together with overflowing LOVE and SUPPORT to celebrate 100 years of wisdom and grace, which abounded as she shared from her past.♥️ The room "sparkled" with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments, as residents also shared special birthday stories from their pasts. From the laughter echoing through the dining rooms, to the "seconds" and "thirds" at the buffet, yesterday's Brunch was incredible. Our residents gathered together once again with family and friends. They surely made memories to last a life-time, during an afternoon filled with delicious food, warm conversations, wonderful connections, whilst beautiful harp music played in the background!!! 💕HONORING A CHERISHED COMMUNITY MEMBER💕
Yesterday afternoon we gathered to celebrate the life of Elizabeth A. Cole, a beloved member of our community who passed on 18 October 2025. We are deeply grateful to Reverend Richard Schnelle, Mr. "Old Man" H. Newsome, and Mr. Sam King for jointly leading a beautiful and meaningful service. Their heart-felt words brought comfort and helped us remember the joy and warmth that E.A. brought to our lives. To the friends of E.A. who joined us, THANK YOU for sharing your memories. The love and support in the room was a true testament to the impact that E.A. had on ALL of us. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.♥️

The kids picked up so much candy on Halloween Eve, they could compete with a big store. We invited the Kiddos for festivities! - great-grand kids, grandkids of residents, and staff little ones for "Treat or Trick" and were not disappointed with the little princesses and superheroes. This is what makes Franciscan a home away from home!!!

👺🧛‍♀️HALLOWEEN!!!👻💀
Thursday night was wonderfully hectic!!! Creativity came alive with residents Best Halloween Door contest, (won by Patricia and Sandra respectively) which transformed doors into works of ART. Our campus staff were not left in on the fun and showcased their incredible talent with a pumpkin decoration contest, won by the LE department. And the Grand finale - Kiddos - residents great-grand kids, grandkids, swarmed the campus for "Treat or Treat". Seeing our residents hand out candy to the cutest pirates, princesses, superheroes, made the best Halloween eve more special.

🚢🍤WHAT AN EPIC ADVENTURE🍗🚢
Last week's Captain's Lunch was LEGENDARY, and our residents were treated like royalty. Every detail was designed to make them feel special and appreciated. From the incredible dessert to the fun boat race, the adventure was epic. After the feast, our residents took to the high seas (aka the gutters) for an epic boat race competition. Watching everyone cheer each other on, strategize, and steer their boats to the finishing line, was pure joy to watch.🏆🎉 A HUGE congrats to all our "competitors", our Chef and team, and everyone who made Captain's Lunch such a memorable adventure♥️♥️

We had the sweetest weekend!!! 🐾 Amber the therapy dog came over for a furry visit and we ended up doing a fun Pumpkin puzzle pieces craft project together. There's something so special about combining creativity with the calming presence of a furry friend. Feeling grateful for these special moments!!! What an amazing Sunday Brunch this past week. Our dining rooms were filled with wonderful aroma of healthy and delicious food!!! The tables were buzzing with conversations, plates were piled high, and the atmosphere was pure happiness. Thank you to everyone who joined us to make this event a special one for our residents. A huge shoutout to our amazing team who put together such a fantastic brunch. These are the moments we live for, here at Franciscan!!!.💕

🍎🚎An Incredible Few days🎖️🍪
We have had a fun-packed Fall so far. It all started with a bus excursion to Tumbleweed; the food, the laughs, the memories - it was worth the trip!!! Then we got our creative juices flowing with apple-themed canvas painting (while sipping a delicious apple cider, of course!!!🍺). There's something magical about sipping a cider while bringing an "Apple" to life!!! Next, our residents packed the Frazier Museum session to capacity; the energy was electric, everything buzzing with excitement. And the grand FINALE? A beautiful memorial service for our community's veterans at Franciscan Health Care's Chapel. What a powerful way to honor the brave men and women who sacrificed ALL for our freedoms. This is what meaningful days are about: friends, laughter, creativity, learning, and REMEMBRANCE♥️. Thanks to "We Honor Veterans", Dignity Memorial, in conjunction with Franciscan, made this event possible.

We had an absolutely packed week of fun! Our residents were on the Go!!! - diving into comfort food at Metro Diner, savoring smoky BBQ at City Diner, soaking up the sun, and beauty of nature at the Botanical Gardens.🌹🌺 The smiles, laughter, and great conversations made the outings both worthwhile, and memorable.
