So grateful for the support of Marc Weinberg and his dedication to our heroes. We love the special relationship he has with the Wilt family and how he has shown up since the very beginning. Thank you for all you do, Marc!

Tonight was a really nice night for me. I got to spend some time with our hero, Officer Nick Wilt at the BIAK Brain Ball. Seeing his continued improvement is an absolute miracle. His fun and kind spirit continues to bring a smile to everyone lucky enough to see and talk to him.

The Summit Wellness Center continues to gain national attention as communities across the country visit Louisville (more than 100 different communities!) to learn how it can be done in their hometowns. The year two results speak for themselves: first responders, civilian employees, and their families visited the Summit over 18,000 times; Shelton Forensic Solutions conducted 1,153 mental health appointments; and ProTeam Tactical delivered over 2,100 physical rehabilitation sessions. And the extraordinary reduction in injury related days off that was achieved in the Summit’s first year has held steady into year two. Down from over 2,700 days in 2023 to just 700 at the same point in 2024 and now 876 days in 2025. This is a powerful testament to the Summit’s impact on the well being and readiness of Louisville’s public safety community. The LMPF is proud to have played a role in the creation of the Summit!

Today the men and women of LMPD stop to remember our fallen brother. LMPD Sixth Division Officer Martez Hughes was taken from us on 11-19-2020. Officer Hughes served the citizens of Louisville with honor, integrity and distinction for 11 years as a patrolman.

Today we honor our Hero. May his memory be a lasting testament for all of all. Let us never forget his kindness and gentleness he showed to those he served.

You are Never Forgotten. Rest Easy Brother. We continue the watch.

As Louisville celebrated Law Enforcement Appreciation Month in September, Rebecca Grignon-Reker attended the unveiling of two new high-visibility crime-deterrence utility vehicles alongside Mayor Craig Greenberg, Chief Paul Humphrey, Councilman Dan Seum, and LMPF Board Chair Steve Bass. This important addition will strengthen safety and police presence in downtown Louisville, helping officers cover more ground, respond more efficiently, and ensure downtown remains a safe and welcoming place for residents, workers, and visitors.

Her attendance at this event came during the Foundation’s 20th anniversary year — a milestone that reflects our longstanding commitment to supporting the men and women of the Louisville Metro Police Department. For two decades, the Louisville Metro Police Foundation has provided essential resources beyond what the city budget can fund, ensuring officers receive the equipment, training, and wellness support needed to serve at their best.
