Square One was invited to speak at the Spina Bifida Association of Kentucky annual symposium in June. Neuropsychologist, Amy Usher, Ph.D., presented on the topics of executive functioning, mental health, and social skills in children with spina bifida. Square One was invited back for the Growing Up with Spina Bifida series which focused on mental health this year. Occupational therapist and learning resource specialist, Shelly White OT/L, spoke to parents about executive functioning and social skills intervention, while Dr. Usher provided more in-depth information about mental health diagnosis and treatment in children.
