🎉 On this day, 17 years ago, I met my Sõl-mate.
❤️ On this day, 13 years ago, I married her.
Here, is part of our story from our humble beginnings.
We started in a crappy one bedroom apartment next to the projects downtown, it was all we could afford and crime was high.
I barely missed getting shot a few times just walking home.
The walls were literally falling down, and everytime we took a shower, we had to spend an hour bailing out the water out of the nasty bathtube. There was just one tiny window looking outdoors and it got 100 degress in the summer in there.
We had no insurance of any sort, no savings, no assets, no credit, no prospects... we were both out of shape, depressed and Amanda was on 18 meds with constant intense migraines making it hard for her to work or even function.
The Music studio I worked at for ten years was closing its doors and I was about to be unemployed.
It was time to take action.
We started with getting ourselves healthy and in shape, and I started studying 6 hours a day - health - nutrition - wellness - finance - business etc...
I could not afford a dentist for over a decade, and had intense pain I had been dealin with for years, slicing open the absessess in my mouth on my own every few months (dont do this, the pain is intense)
I put a plan in place for us to get us out of this environment.
Amanda told me she wanted a house with some windows. So, I took that to heart and followed through.
We built our credit from abysmal to now 835, got our first modest home, and now, we live in our dream home with the BIGGEST windows you have ever seen overlooking the woods (for my baby)
We own two normal cars (paid in cash) and more importantly, Amanda headaches and meds are LONG GONE.
We ended up losing 200lbs total together, with complete health turnarounds. We got insurance, and after years of work, fixed my mouth proper and got the family secured.
Like everyone, we have had ups and downs and all arounds, but we are still here and we are still together and in love. And that my friends is priceless.
