Great news on the Food is Medicine front! The Senate Health Services Committee passed a joint resolution declaring Kentucky as a "Food is Medicine" state. So far, 52 KY hospitals have adopted measures to provide and promote local nutritious foods for their patients while partnering with local farmers.

We were happy to be a part of another great Food is Medicine Roundtable in Madisonville this week! Ag Commissioner Jonathan Shell announced that 50 of KY's hospitals are now participating in connecting their patients with fresh, local food to improve health in the Commonwealth. Thank you to Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, Hopkins County Agriculture Extension, and all the local farmers and community leaders who came together to learn how this program can grow locally.
