We are a locally family owned and operated funeral home. We have been faithfully serving needs of Louisville area families since 1864. In 1938 John B. Matthews.

We have two conveniently located locations for your families needs. Serving Families since 1864 and in St. Matthews for over 70 years. Ratterman decides to open a second funeral home in Louisville's emerging east end community of St. He ask two sons, Carl and John Jr. to operate the new facility and it opened in 1939. This new business grew along with St. Matthews and Carl and John added on and remodeled the original building several times over the years. Now under the direction of Carl's sons and grandsons, Ratterman Bros. has just completed its latest update to make the spacious surroundings even more comfortable for the families it serves. The Ratterman family, now in its fifth generation of service, has taken care of thousands of families with compassionate care for nearly 150 years The Rattermans know that families need to have confidence in experienced professionals in a comfortable and dignified settings at this most difficult time. The newly decorated Lexington Road home now offers spacious and elegant visitation rooms for their families.The Rattermans serve families of all faiths and provide a full range of funeral services from cremation with ceremony to
the more traditional funeral and pre-need arrangements.
