✨ FEATURE FRIDAY: FROM YOUR HEART TO OUR HOME ✨
This week, we’re shining a light on a program that brings true comfort to our neighbors in Phoenix who need it most. 💜

Family Health Centers’ Health Care for the Homeless team believes one thing deeply: housing is healthcare.
And this holiday season, they’re helping individuals move from surviving… to finally having a place to call home.

Through the Heart to Home campaign, donations go directly toward essentials that turn an empty space into a real home — furniture, kitchenware, linens, and the everyday items that offer dignity, stability, and hope. FHC also provides gifts to Supportive Housing residents who often face the holidays alone.

If you’d like to be part of that transformation, you can contribute or share the link with your community.
Every gift makes a real-life difference. 💜🏠

| Helping Kids Break the Social Media Habit at Home

Kids grow fast, and so do their digital habits. This Milestone Monday, Family Health Centers is sharing simple, family-friendly ways to help children develop healthier relationships with phones and social media.

Just as learning to crawl or read is an important developmental milestone, managing screen time is another crucial one. Healthier digital habits help kids sleep better, focus better, and feel more confident in the real world.

Healthy Habits to Start at Home

🌟 Create “No-Phone Zones”
Choose spaces like the dinner table, car rides, or bedrooms where phones stay out. Kids thrive with structure they can see and feel.
🌟 Set a Daily Screen Time Routine:
Consistency is key! Establish a set schedule for homework, screen time, and breaks. Predictability reduces pushback.
🌟 Lead by Example: Kids watch EVERYTHING. When adults model good boundaries, kids follow them more easily.
🌟 Replace the Scroll with Connection: Swap 15 minutes of scrolling for a family walk, a card game, or a quick “how’s your day?” chat.
🌟 Keep Devices Out of Bedtime: Removing screens 1 hour before bed helps kids fall asleep faster and improves mood the next day.
🌟 Talk About It: Normalize conversations about comparison, online pressure, and digital stress. Kids feel safer when they know their feelings are valid.

If screens are affecting your child’s sleep, mood, or behavior, our team can help you navigate the next steps. Your child’s physical, mental, and emotional health all matter—and we’re here to support every milestone along the way.

Be here tomorrow!

The brain is built on demand during the early years, and that demand comes in the form of “doing.” The more you and your little ones “do,” the more confident, self-aware, and grounded in mind and body they become! And what’s more fun than wiggling, bouncing, balancing, and experimenting with all the things we can DO with our BRILLIANT BODY PARTS? Having opportunities to explore movement refines motor coordination and strengthens the link between the body and the brain. So, let’s get moving!
