What is Residential Support?
For individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or acquired brain injuries (ABI), residential support means more than just having a roof over their head. It means having a safe, supportive environment where they can live with dignity and independence.
At Newcare Louisville, we offer person-centered residential support services funded through Kentucky’s Medicaid waiver programs. This means:
- Safe, accessible homes in community neighborhoods
- Trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who assist with daily living tasks
- Opportunities for growth, connection, and inclusion
- Tailored care plans that reflect each individual’s needs and goals
Whether it’s learning to cook a favorite meal, managing medications, or joining a community event, our residents are supported every step of the way.
