I’ve been noticing something more and more in my work and in conversations with patients.
There are two very different philosophies of healthcare operating in America today.
One is rooted in centralized authority and intervention-driven care.
The other emphasizes autonomy, prevention, resilience, and working with the body as an intelligent system.
This isn’t about left or right.
It isn’t generational.
It’s philosophical.
We didn’t eliminate illness in the conventional model.
We changed its shape.
From acute death… to chronic disease.
From short lives… to longer, but often sicker ones.
My work isn’t about rejecting modern medicine.
It’s about re-humanizing it.
Healthcare should invite curiosity, informed consent, and humility.
If you value curiosity over certainty, and responsibility over blind trust... then you're a vital force person!
