Despite the gloomy weather, our residents lit up the day with smiles and laughter during our special trip to Churchill Downs for Senior Day. We were thrilled to spend the afternoon up in Millionaire’s Row, cheering on the horses, enjoying the excitement of the races, and even celebrating a few wins of our own! A few family members were able to join us, making the day even more meaningful.

This season, we were honored to celebrate one of our resident's most cherished traditions. For many years, he baked homemade fruit cakes and gifted them to friends and loved ones during the holidays.

To help make his transition into our community feel as close to home as possible, during Creative Cooking he taught us how to make one of his famous cakes, and he proudly served it at Happy Hour last Friday, sharing not just a recipe, but a piece of his story.

This week our residents enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Speed Art Museum for their Memories at the Museum program. We explored the beautiful exhibit featuring artist Vian Sora.
After touring the gallery, residents had the opportunity to create their own artwork, inspired by Sora's vibrant style. It was amazing to see how each person interpreted the colors, movement and emotion from the exhibit into their own paintings.

This Veterans Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country.
Over the weekend, we had the honor of taking several of our veteran residents to the Veterans Parade. It was a truly special day-the pride on their faces said it all! Even more touching was seeing their families in the crowd holing signs with their names, cheering them on.
Thank you to all our veterans for your courage, sacrifice and dedication. We are so proud to celebrate you-today and every day.

🎃 Halloween Magic on Hillcrest! 👻

Our residents had a spooktacular time visiting Hillcrest Avenue to see all the incredible Halloween decorations! From glowing pumpkins and friendly ghosts to over-the-top displays, there was something to marvel at around every corner. The laughter, gasps, and smiles made it a truly memorable outing.

It’s always special to see the creativity of the community — and even more special to enjoy it together! 🧡🕸️

Our residents had a wonderful time during our Creative Centerpieces activity! Everyone got to design and create their very own centerpiece to display at dinner. It was such a joy seeing all the unique ideas and beautiful arrangements come together-dinner never looked so lovely!

Happy Halloween from all of us at The Legacy at English Station!

Our residents had such a fun time celebrating with costumes during our annual Family Trick-or-Treat night. Everyone looked amazing, but after some tough judging, we're excited to announce our Resident Costume Contest Winners:

First Place goes to: Mr. John, who wowed everyone as Hugh Hefner-complete with his "bunnies!"
In second place: Ms. Marilyn, who made quite the impression as Caesar Augustus.

Nothing beats a morning out with friends-especially when cinnamon rolls are involved! Warm, gooey and absolutely delicious! The laughter and sweet memories made this event even better.

Our residents had a fantastic time celebrating Family Trick-or-Treat Night! 👻 The halls were filled with laughter, candy, and the sweetest little trick-or-treaters in their adorable costumes.

Residents joined in on the fun too, dressing up for a costume contest and showing off their creative Halloween spirit. From spooky to silly, everyone enjoyed a night full of smiles, families, and festive fun!🎃

Our residents had a spook-tacular time stuffing bags with Halloween candy and goodies! It was such a heartwarming activity that brought smiles, nostalgia and plenty of Halloween spirit!

We're excited to share the fun-families are invited to join us on Wednesday, October 22 from 5-7PM for our campus trick-or-treat event! Come enjoy treats, costumes and festive fun with us!

Our residents enjoyed a fun-filled tropical escape yesterday!
We kicked things off with a lively Tiki Bar, complete with tasty mocktails and live music that set the island mood.

Later, we gathered for a Captain's Dinner featuring a delicious surf and turf feast.

It was a fun day; a true island getaway without ever leaving home.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Captain's Quarters right on the river. The crab cakes and fish sandwiches were amazing! Nothing better than great company, good food and a beautiful waterfront view on a lovely autumn day.

Now we're gearing up for our Cruise-Themed party tonight-ready to set sail for more fun!
